The Meadow Gallery is a West Midlands based contemporary arts organisation that aims to increase public knowledge and understanding of contemporary art. By commissioning new works and delivering temporary outdoor exhibitions we encourage innovative contemporary artistic practice and attract new audiences to contemporary visual arts.

Following a flexible and creative approach to exhibiting and producing art in the natural environment, our programmes propose site-specific alternatives to existing models such as the sculpture park. Based outside urban centres our exhibitions bring high quality contemporary art to the areas where few other facilities exist.

The Meadow Gallery operates on a peripatetic basis, working with a variety of host venues and locations, usually heritage sites or historic gardens with an established visitor base. This helps create new audiences, encourages partnerships between the contemporary arts and heritage sectors and provides opportunities for vibrant education programmes.

In 2006 a partnership with the National Trust was initiated which resulted in the exhibition Still Life opening at Hanbury Hall (Worcestershire) in summer 2007. The next exhibition in collaboration with the National Trust will take place at Attingham Park (Shropshire) from September 2008. This will be followed in 2010 by a third exhibition in Herefordshire

The Meadow Gallery is a not for profit limited organisation that is supported on a regular basis by the Arts Council as well as other Trust and Foundations.
